- URBAN DESIGN
Sana’a Downtown Development- Al Qamariah master plan negotiates a delicate exiting urban fabric by means of porous buildings that intertwine with familiar urban spaces such as gardens, urban stairs, and small plazas. These public spaces host a multitude of modern life activities and thus help to integrate the old with the new.
The Residential and Office Towers propose a modern yet familiar mode of living. Podiums house commercial activities and offer a continuous landscape that negotiates flexible boundaries between public and private.
As for the mall, which is a quite big building, it is treated as a series of urban elements; it is a bridge, a raised roof garden, an urban stairs that can host temporary souks and festivals.
